Marketplace Change
I was invited to join the artists on MakersPlace before they exited the market on January 17, 2025. Initially I anticipated it to be an excellent marketplace to introduce my designer cryptograms. However, during my short time on their platform, I had no success getting a feature article published to help promote my work. More than a hundred days before they closed shop, I could not reach a representative. It was not a rewarding experience.
I decided to register with OpenSea. All the big names seem to be there. Unfortunately, there is an issue bringing over NFTs that were minted on another platform. To date, OpenSea cannot display those NFTs on my Collections page. Maybe they will be able to do that in the future.
The impact of generative programs and AI have muddied the waters. Thousands, if not millions, have flooded the marketplaces. Would be ‘artists’ are offering their creations for $5.00 or less. I’m not interested in that approach. I’ve spent more than fifty years perfecting my work. If you haven’t done so, please read My Story and my CV. I believe my cryptograms are just as valuable as Beeple’s EveryDays or Cattelan’s banana. I hope you agree.
